'Ye Old' DVD Review - Without a Paddle

This is a movie that I was really loathe to watch in the first place, but liking the cast and being placed under duress, I gave it a try. Man am I glad I did! This is brainless entertainment at it's best and there's nothing wrong with that - sometimes I just want to switch off and have a laugh.

Without a Paddle is the story of friends who reunite for the funeral of their childhood buddy. When looking through his belongings, they discover a trunk which contained details that reveal he was hot on the trail of the $200,000 that went missing with airplane hijacker D.B. Cooper in 1971. They decide to continue his journey, but do not understand the dangers they will soon encounter.

Interestingly, The character of "D.B. Cooper" is based on an actual person, who in 1971, after hijacking an airliner, extorted $200,000 from its owner, Northwest Orient, and leaped off the airborne plane with 21 pounds of $20 bills strapped to his body. He was never caught...

With memorable quotes like:

Dan Mott: Billy's dead and he still has a better chance of getting laid than I do.

Tom Marshall: This never leaves the cave.
